BATU PAHAT: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob today called on the public, especially jobseekers to make optimal use of the various initiatives and programmes relating to career opportunities organised by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE).

He said programmes like PENJANA KPT-CAP, PENJANA KPT-PACE and GetHired@KPT, as well as MyFutureJobs, were meant to help reduce the unemployment rate in Malaysia to be below 4.2 per cent.

"What's for sure is that these programmes were the touchpoint aimed at meeting the needs of the people," he said at the Keluarga Malaysia MOHE Carnival in Parit Sulong near here today.

Also present were MOHE Minister Datuk Seri Dr Noraini Ahmad and Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Hasni Mohammad.

Citing the MYFutureJobs programme as an example, Ismail Sabri said a total of 63,990 job opportunities in Johor was offered through the programme's official portal.

"For the carnival alone, I was made to understand that over 3,000 vacant posts are being offered. So, I call on everyone here to take this opportunity and to tell their friends and relatives who may need a job about this," he added.
