PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang said the party must have a negotiation with Umno in the efforts by PAS to implement hudud law in Kelantan.

He believed Umno was sincere in supporting the PAS efforts to implement the Islamic law.

"To us, we consider everything to be sincere. So, don't delay this sincere effort," he said when closing a religious program organised by PAS Youth, here Saturday.

In fact, the member of parliament for Marang also disputed the action of a handful of PAS members in questioning the sincerity of Umno.

Abdul Hadi however regretted when their ally in the opposition pact, the DAP continued to pressure PAS to postpone the implementation of hudud law in Kelantan.

He pointed out that the implementation of the hudud law pushed by PAS did not involve the non-Muslims and the DAP should not fear by continuing to exert pressure on the party.
