News agency CCN had received all kinds of criticism over their news coverage of the missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 on March 8 and this time, it’s the turn of the United States President, Barack Obama.

The President during his 2014 White House Correspondents' Dinner speech made fun of CNN over their extensive coverage on the missing plane.

"I am happy to be here even though I am a little jetlagged from my trip to Malaysia ... the lengths we have to go to to get CNN coverage these days,” Obama said at the event.

Ex-CNN Larry King also slammed the news agency by saying the coverage has become ‘absurd’.

In an interview with the Capital New York website, the bespectacled former TV host said: "I miss being live, which I did all my life and I miss the big story, though I will tell you, I am glad I am not on CNN now with this missing plane.

"Because that has been turned into the most absurd news story.
