Parti Cinta Malaysia (PCM) urged police to investigate the statement by DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng, which allegedly asked the political parties in Sarawak to quit Barisan Nasional (BN).

PCM vice-president Datuk Huan Cheng Guan claimed the statement made through Lim's speech at the 18th Sarawak DAP Convention in Sibu on Sunday which was read out by DAP vice-president Chong Chieng Jen, was seditious.

"Such a statement is dangerous, indeed serious. I ask that the police investigate this matter based on the relevant law," he told reporters after lodging a report at the Seberang Perai Tengah police station, here, Monday.

The Malay Mail Online reported that Lim, who is also Penang Chief Minister, had called on Sarawak Chief Minister Tan Sri Adenan Satem and the political parties in the state to quit BN if BN failed to meet the state's demand for autonomy.

The statement was also uploaded onto Lim's Facebook page.

Huan said as chief minister, Lim should not busy himself with looking after other people's affairs while Penang under his leadership was facing various issues. -- Bernama
