KUALA LUMPUR: The Barisan Nasional (BN) Supreme Council is gathering at Menara Dato' Onn, World Trade Centre (WTC), Kuala Lumpur for another round of meetings tonight.

MIC Deputy President Datuk Seri M Saravanan confirmed this with the media here.

"I am not sure as of now, I just received a call about this meeting," he said when asked about details of the meeting.

MCA President Datuk Seri Wee Ka Siong also confirmed the meeting would take place but did not comment further.

"Wait and see," he said briefly.

According to a source, the BN Supreme Council meeting will be followed by a meeting among all 30 BN MPs.

Previously, caretaker Prime Minister and UMNO Vice-President Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said the Supreme Council had decided not to support any coalition in forming the government.

This was decided at an earlier meeting at 11am today.

He added that BN had also agreed to remain in the opposition.

Meanwhile, all 30 BN MPs have been summoned for an audience with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, individually at 10.30am tomorrow (Wednesday).

Royal Comptroller of Istana Negara Datuk Seri Ahmad Fadil Shamsuddin said this was for the Agong to appoint a member of the Dewan Rakyat, who in his opinion has the confidence of the majority, as the Prime Minister.
