The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) today held a meeting with officials of the Prime Minister's Office to decide on the date for taking statements from Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.

The MACC said the meeting was held with regard to the issue on the SRC International and the RM2.6 billion fund.

"The MACC will disclose the developments from time to time," the MACC said in a statement today.

On Nov 12, MACC chief commissioner Tan Sri Abu Kassim Mohamed said the agency had contacted the Prime Minister's Office on the matter, and Najib had agreed for his statement to be recorded.

He said that at the time, the MACC was waiting for a date to interview Najib on the issue pertaining to the investigation.

On the same day, Najib had said that he was prepared to give a statement to the MACC.

SRC International is a subsidiary of 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB), until it was placed under the Finance Ministry in 2012.
