SEREMBAN:The Negeri Sembilan National Anti-Drug Agency (AADK) has introduced the Smart Kit 2.0 programme to enhance knowledge on the dangers of drug abuse among primary school students.

AADK Malaysia director (Prevention) Zainudin Abdullah said the kit, developed since 1998 with the collaboration of various parties, focus on Year Four to Six students.

"It also contains the interactive game, Antidrug Generations (A-GEN), which is a video on drug prevention in the form of acting and animation,  as well as flashcards, to attract students.

"We believe this interactive game have a positive impact in terms of identity formation,” he said in his speech when launching the Smart Kit 2.0 and Negeri Sembilan A-GEN Interactive Game here today.

Also present were State AADK director Dr Sallina Mansor and State Education Department director Md Fiah Md Jamin.

Meanwhile, Zainuddin said Negeri Sembilan ranked fifth  with the highest number of drug addicts last year, after Terengganu, Kelantan, Pahang and Perlis.

"In Negeri Sembilan, drug abuse or addiction is not so serious a problem, where out of 100,000 people, 702 are drug addicts," he said and called for cooperation from all quarters to work with AADK to eradicate drug abuse.
