The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) report on 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) proves that the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak has been slandered for the last two years.

UMNO secretary-general, Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Mansor today said that the allegations hurled towards Najib were downright unfair and stemmed from the opposition wing.

“He (Dr Tan Seng Giaw) told Datuk Seri Najib (Razak) was not involved in any issues related to 1MDB,” said Tengku Adnan at the launch of Al-Muhajirin mosque at Precinct 9 here today.

Tengku Adnan stressed that the public must obtain the actual facts with endless finger-pointing over the issue.

“I urge the rakyat to stop believing in those who like pointing fingers. They have a certain agenda to divide the society in Malaysia who have co-existed peacefully and harmoniously.

“Malaysia is what it is today because we are united in all aspects of life. There have been several individuals here and abroad who are not keen to see us united.

“They want to divide us. If we are divided, we are unable to achieve our mission to become a prosperous country,” said Tengku Adnan.

He also said that the PAC outcome, 1MDB issue was resolved and the closure would provide the opportunity for the company management to resume its operations as usual.

“Moving forward, let 1MDB does what it sets out to be, as a company,” he added.

Tengku Adnan also said that the government along with 1MDB management will continue to improve what deliberated and suggested by the wholly-owned government strategic development company.
